Hi, anyone knows how much total disk space required to sync full IPFS node? ---

There is no such thing as “syncing a full node” in IPFS, it is not like blockchain. Starting your node, you won’t be obligated to sync any data at all. Nodes by default have a “starter set” of data, mostly consisting of readmes and some simple tutorials. I think at most this is less than 100MB. ---

Thanks for this good question, @prabhat.yash There should be a facility in the GUI of IPFS-Desktop which you can use to set the location of this sync, too. 3GB is quite large. The facility should also allow you to pre-allocate the storage space, to help avoid fragmentation and so that you won’t have it take over your whole drive.
