# How to add external IP to IPFS swarm announcing list

@stebalien is this a known bug? You mentioned that behavoir in the [other thread](https://discuss.ipfs.tech/t/are-the-public-gateway-timeouts-expected-for-content-solely-owned-by-the-uploader/7365/8), but not the Announce/NoAnnounce configuration.
