# IPFS and Aether

Aether, released under the AGPL, is a distributed, censorship resistant, Free Speech platform which allows users to impeach moderators. Aether just had a major update and received some additional funding::

Discussion on Aether is ephemeral, as in spoken conversations, the threads disappear (after 6 months).

A lot of valuable discussion takes place on Aether and it is being investigated how IPFS might be able to work with Aether to pin content that deserves archiving.
