# Is there a gateway setting to redirect to subdomain before fetching? If not this should be a config option

iirc redirecting to subdomain before resolving things was proposed in [IPIP-386](https://specs.ipfs.tech/ipips/ipip-0386/), which got accepted and is now the default behavior since Kubo \>=0.22

So you may want to update to the lastest one and see if that helps:
