# What software does discuss.ipfs.io use?

I’m interested in creating a similar discussion forum for the [Permissionless Software Foundation](https://psfoundation.cash) to this one at [discuss.ipfs.io](http://discuss.ipfs.io). What software is this? Is it custom code, or is it forked from a general suite of software?

Any links would be greatly appreciated.

The software is Discourse ([https://www.discourse.org/](https://www.discourse.org/)). As I am not a system administrator for this site, I can’t speak to whether there is custom code added or not.

From the page source code, it looks like it is currently running version 2.7.0beta1.
