The Interplanetary File System (IPFS) is a peer-to-peer protocol for storing and accessing files and websites. As a distributed peer-to-peer protocol, it's fundamentally different from the HTTP protocol. With the help of IPFS Gateways, it's possible to reap the benefits of IPFS using the HTTP protocol.
