IPFS vs WebTorrent

Hi,

I have a website with same pictures and
videos. Since I’m looking to reduce bandwidth usage, I was considering
to give P2P distribution a try and see how it works. Of all the available
networks that I’ve found online, only IPFS and WebTorrent seem to be a
good choice for my problem. I’m not sure which of these two I should
use, so my question is… why should I prefer IPFS instead of
WebTorrents to distribute media files that I’m currently distributing
over HTTP? I’d love to hear your comments for this question.

Thanks a lot.

IPFS is an open protocol, not an app. meaning that it is very interoperable with every device and operating system.

Also IPFS is more than just simple file exchange, it is also a hopeful upgrade for the Web itself.
