Is IPFS a delivery vehicle of the "Promise of a Post-Copyright World"?

This is probably an emotionally charged question but one I think worthy for community discussion – given the goals of “a more free and open internet”, in the long-term is there a place for copyright in a free and open internet?

At it’s core, the IPFS project seems to be supportive of, and to some extent is a delivery vehicle to a “Post-Copyright World” — would that be an accurate summation of community sentiment?
