I’m a junior and not familiar with IPFS / git / golang etc.

The issue: Error: cannot acquire lock: can’t lock file “C:\Users\Алексей.ipfs\repo.lock”: has non-zero size

First I’ve tried tip commands and there are no such function or script file…

(see screenshot 2 and 3) - will try in next messages:

I’ve opened C:\Users\Алексей\.ipfs\repo.lock file with Notepad and here is only ‘{“OwnerPID”:10132}’ info - that’s all.

Idk what can I do. The youtube guides has same issue, but it disappeared by itself for a while (not my case).
Can you describe the error and any ideas how to fix it?

P.s. I tried to install IPFS from CLI, but the “maker” function didn’t work

Have you tried:

  1. Closing IPFS Desktop, also ensure the CLI version (Kubo) isn’t running either.
  2. Delete the lock file.

I really think that should resolve your primary issue here.
