In another thread on these forums I just posted one of the clearer versions of my thinking about how IPFS fits really well into the activities of a library. All my stuff about “Golden Age for Libraries” revolves around this basic pattern.

I think there is a great opportunity for libraries to play a role here – libraries already exist as a place where communities hold the data that they care about. In the same way that I can ask my library to add a new book to their collection, we should all be able to ask our libraries to pin content on the library’s IPFS nodes.
