We have put together a new IPFS measurement report for calendar week 13 in 2023 from 2023-03-28 to 2023-04-03 . You can find it here:

Notable items:

• Number of clients reduced, but there’s an uptick (of ~5k) in the number of DHT Server nodes.
• Close to half of the sites we’re monitoring have faster TTFB through kubo compared to HTTP
• The error rate to the sites we’re monitoring dropped significantly from more than 50% to less than 10%

@dennis-tra @iand did something change in the way we do things wrt the last two points? Can we explain these differences?

Another observation: the error rate in the retrievals jumped almost 10x in Weeks 12 (network-measurements/README.md at master · protocol/network-measurements · GitHub) and 13 (network-measurements/README.md at master · protocol/network-measurements · GitHub), compared to Week 11 (network-measurements/README.md at master · protocol/network-measurements · GitHub).

It’s still very minor at well below 1%, but was wondering if we have an explanation.
