IPFS on a cloned AWS EC2 Instance

Greetings,
I created an AMI (Amazon Image) of a Linux system on which I have installed IPFS (kubo 0.29) with its PeerID. I was expecting that the PeerID on the clone spinning off from that AMI would be the same as on the original Linux instance.
But no, it was not… I was actually hoping for that … But I am wondering what happened that cloning via AMI was not cloning the PeerID.
The only difference was that the new instance had a different local/public IP address. How can that be? My ISP changes my public IP all the time, but my PeerID does not.
Does anyone can shed light on that ??
Best
Ike
