Issue with hosting files

I have used IPFS to host files free,

  1. will it ever go commercial?
  2. what happens to my already hosted files when It goes commercial?
  3. how Do i pay then to use the JS API?
  4. Is there any law that prohibit my from setting up IPFS as CDN and bill my users.?

IPFS will, to my knowledge, remain FOSS and free of cost forever.

I don’t know of any law that would prevent you from using IPFS as a CDN for commercial purposes, and i don’t feel like such a law would make much sense, but of course if you want actual legal advice the only people you should ask are lawyers.
