Open-source pinning service

it would be great if pinata.cloud was open-source so everybody could become a pinning provider .
does IPFS have any plans to make an open-source pinning service ?
making :

  • an standard interface for different providers .
  • competition easier .
  • reduce the costs .
  • anyone with any level of experience able to serve the network .

this is a great idea. As decentralized storage, we should try to avoid using centralized services anymore.
