Today, Wednesday Feb 28th, we’re hosting an IPFS Mainnet discussion in Denver.

If you’re in Denver, there’s still time to join us at 4pm MST, please register if you’d like to join us IPFS Mainnet: Gathering the Commons · Luma

This year, the IPFS and extended ecosystem is graduating to a more commons based approached, with many separate companies, foundations, and funding partners.

At ETH Denver we want to introduce the changes, and invite people to take part in supporting and governing large public commons projects like the ipfs.io public gateway, and the Kubo IPFS node codebase.

We will have a presentation by Adin Schmahmann from IP Shipyard, IPFS Core Maintainer, to introduce IP Shipyard’s New Chapter and other existing and upcoming initiatives.

We will follow with a discussion of IPFS as Commons, welcoming IPFS operators, dapp builders, blockchain ecosystems, and others interested in the future of the IPFS commons. This will be a facilitated discussion and Q&A, hosted by Boris Mann, Founder of Fission.

@mosh will also be joining us to present an update on the formation of the IPFS Foundation

We’ll direct attendees to this forum post for further discussion and sharing of presentation slides and other materials.

We’re one week after the IPFS Mainnet event at ETHDenver. Thanks so much for those that joined us!

Adin & Bethany from IP Shipyard have support options available now on their new Gitwallet page. As well, they’re going to be hosting a virtual follow up for IPFS operators and anyone else working on IPFS Mainnet, coming up March 13th: Register directly on Zoom
