Trouble setting up (Sorry if noob question/wrong place)

I first downloaded the IPFS Desktop companion and wanted to trial the Command-Line. This was my first command-line install and I think all went well, but I am having problem initializing the node from the terminal.

I checked that the bootstrap matches just as I was not sure if this issue is a communication problem between the command-line and Desktop version of something else

Looks like you are trying to init ipfs when it’s already init and running!

That would make sense, so if I have the desktop and the terminal, if I open and start the desktop first then since its the same node then init fails. Lol, was a noob question but thank you
